Technically, they were optional and some early cars were built without them, but the majority of the cars were built with the option, making any Mark IV without them a very rare sight today. The drive train was carryover from 1971, but everything else was new. Luxurious new interiors set the standard for Lincolns and Continentals through the rest of the decade. The instrument panel featured simulated woodgrain in two patterns, Kashmir Walnut Matina and Baby Burl Walnut. Three rectangular gauges were placed dead center, one of these housed the Cartier timepiece, the others housed the speedometer and the fuel gauge. All gauges and warning lights were located within the driver's line of sight, and all controls were placed for easy access. Sales of the 1972 cars were very strong.'The current owner purchased this car from the estate of an older gentleman in Texas, the estate claims the mileage is accurate and based on the condition of this car we agree 100%. Please let all the pictures load (there are over 80) to see the excellent original condition of this classic Lincoln. With the exception a very good quality repaint in the original color sometime back and the wheels from a '77 Mark, it's all original and has not been restored! The exterior chrome and trim are in very nice original condition, and the undercarriage is solid, clean and dry. The interior is best described as like new! The seats, carpeting, door panels, and headliner are all excellent! The car runs and drives terrific, and with the 460 V-8 this car gets up and moves, it rides like a big Lincoln should! The power seats, power trunk release, heat, headlights, signals, gauges, radio, wipers and remote mirror, are fully operational. We have the original owners manual, original wheel covers and a new dash pad, these will be included in the sale. All in all this is one nice old Lincoln! Bid now, fly in and drive it home! Please remember that this car is 37 years old and not perfect. The dash pad is cracked (as shown), the rear windows, clock and antenna are inoperable. Send an inspection service to look at this car, and if it is not as advertised we will reimburse youfor the inspection fee! IT'S THAT NICE! Bid now to own this Beauty!! You will not be disappointed!
