Description:
This rare numbers-matching Challenger R/T was purchased by our dealership at the Barrett-Jackson Classic Car Auction several years ago. Everyone knows that B-J only allows top-quality cars at their auctions. This original 340-four barrel car has the bullet-proof 727 Torqueflite with all matching numbers. We have the original factory build sheet. It has air conditioning that works. We believe that car has never been apart, but has had a good quality repaint and good quality and correct interior pieces replaced. Everything is original except the radio (a Panasonic) and it has air-shocks on the rear axle instead of original equipment. This car runs and drives great, really fun. Since we bought it, it stays in our air-conditioned showroom except when occasionally driven. Mopar E-body cars continue to appreciate in value. Come see for yourself.

1971 DODGE CHALLENGER Fun Facts
Dodge Challenger is the name of three different automobile models marketed by the Dodge division of the Chrysler Corporation since the 1970s. It was based on the similar Plymouth Barracuda's new E-body, though the wheelbase, at 110" was two inches longer and had substantially different outer sheetmetal than its Plymouth cousin.

Chrysler announced that the Dodge Challenger will be produced as a coupe, to arrive in dealerships in 2008 (as a 2008 model year car), and to be built on the same line as the 300, Charger, and Magnum. Chrysler assures us that the production car will be practically indistinguishable from the concept.
