Car Facts 2006 CHRYSLER PACIFICA Fun Facts

The Chrysler Pacifica is a mid-size crossover SUV from DaimlerChrysler. Although frequently reported, the Pacifica does not share its platform with the Chrysler minivans. The Pacifica is on its own platform and offers all-wheel drive and an upscale interior to individuals who need cargo and passenger flexibility. The Pacifica was introduced for 2004 and was originally inspired by the 1999 Chrysler Pacifica and 2000 Chrysler Citadel concept cars. The Pacifica is also Chrysler's first SUV. The Pacifica, according to Chrysler, is a "sports tourer". The Pacifica is built in Windsor, Ontario, Canada alongside the long-wheelbase Chrysler Town & Country and the Dodge Grand Caravan. For 2006, the "Limited" trim level was made available without all-wheel drive.

The Chrysler Pacifica appeared in Spring 2003 as a 2004 model. Combining the practicality and handling of a car with the space of a low-roofed minivan or SUV, the Pacifica features "step-across" height, which means you neither climb up nor climb down to get in; you simply sit down into the seat.
