Car Facts 2005 PONTIAC VIBE Fun Facts

The Pontiac Vibe is a car produced in Fremont, California, in the United States by NUMMI (New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc), a joint venture between General Motors and Toyota. It is a short and tall hatchback that is being marketed as a trendy, quasi-SUV vehicle for younger buyers. Prototypes were shown at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January 2000 and production vehicles came on the market in 2002 for the 2003 model year. The car features a standard household-style 115 volt AC electrical outlet (100 watts) so that common electrical devices can be used inside the car without a separate inverter. The Pontiac Vibe features Air Conditioning as standard equipment, along with a roof rack, and numerous other items over its sister, the Matrix. Interior trim, materials and colors differ, as well. The 2003-2006 Vibe was available in an economical base trim, a "sporty" GT with more power, or an all-wheel drive trim. The 2007 model year only offers the base model.
