Car Facts 2006 NISSAN TITAN Fun Facts

The Nissan Titan is a full-size pickup truck produced in the American market by Nissan Motors. The truck shares the stretched Nissan F-Alpha platform with the Nissan Armada and Infiniti QX56 SUVs, and is manufactured in Canton, Mississippi. The Titan is not intended to challenge the big 3 "Detroit Trucks" in sales numbers, but rather is meant to be an alternative to them and provide Nissan with some in-roads into the highly competitive and profitable truck market. As of March 2007, the heavy duty version of the Titan has been put on hold. The 2008 Titan lineup will add an optional 7-foot long bed to the crew cab and an optional 8-foot long bed to the king cab (extended cab). The king cab Titan with the long bed will come with a larger 37-gallon fuel tank. The already available 5-speed transmission and 5.6L V8 will remain standard equipment on all Nissan Titans.
