The Toyota Land Cruiser is a series of popular four-wheel drive sport utility vehicles produced by Japanese based automaker Toyota Motor Corporation. Design of the Land Cruiser began in 1951 as a Toyota Jeep-like vehicle and production began in 1954. In 2006 Land Cruiser received a more powerful engine and advanced new suspension control options, significantly enhancing its performance and driving dynamics. For 2006 it achieves another elevation: Its new available height control adjustment raises and lowers the Land Cruiser up to 2.8 inches for greater ground clearance. Sure, its available Bluetooth hands-free technology, DVD entertainment and a sumptuous interior have softened its edges.
