This Mini Cooper S Convertible is an excellent value for the money. It is a one-owner car that was owned by a local car enthusiast who really took great car of this car. The Carfax confirm this. The Mini Cooper S comes with an 1.6L inline 4 cylinder motor which has an intercooled supercharger. It puts out 168 hp and 162 ft-lbs of torque, whereas, the standard Mini Cooper, which is naturally aspirated (i.e., no supercharger), has only 115 hp. So the Mini Cooper S has a lot more power than the standard Mini. Model year 2006 was the last year of the intercooled supercharged Mini Cooper S cars. After 2006, Mini switched to turbocharging to increase mpg. The result was a modest increase in hp, with the downside of that infamous turbo-lag which we all hate.
