What are Dealer Feeds?

Dealer feeds are a way for high volume sellers to efficiently post a large number of listings to LemonFree.com on a daily basis.

In order for a Dealer feed to be considered for import, the initial feed must contain at least 5,000 vehicles. If you're feed/inventory is under this requirement you may still provide us a feed if you use an Online Inventory Management Company; they in turn can provide us a feed to integrate .

Your Online Inventory Management Company may already be providing inventory feeds to Lemonfree.com. We currently import feeds from the following partners: If you see your IMS/DMS on the list below but aren't seeing your automobiles on LemonFree, please contact us and we will setup the rest.

LemonFee.com does not charge any fees associated with importing your vehicle inventory feed. All of our automobile listings and services are 100% free. Your Online Inventory Manger may charge a fee for creating and providing your inventory feed to LemonFree.com. In these cases LemonFree.com will in no way assume any of the costs associated with the creation of your feed.

Feed Requirements

1. 5,000 vehicles in initial feed
2. File must be a pipe delimited text file with a header row. 2 files will be sent, one with dealership information and the other with the listings. If the optional information is not being used then it should be left blank delimited by the pipes ||.
3. Dealer File
   Required Fields
   • dealer_id - Unique Identifier for the Dealer
   • dealer_name
   • dealer_street_address
   • dealer_city
   • dealer_state - Official two letter abbreviation (e.g. CA for California)
   • dealer_zip_code
   • dealer_telephone - 555-555-5555
   • last_modified - a date type in the format YYYY-MM-DD indicating the last day that this dealer was modified. We will use this to update name and contact info.
   Optional Fields
   • dealer_email
4. Listing File
   Required Fields
   • dealer_id - Unique Identifier for the dealer
   • type - Indicates if the vehicle is new, used, or salvage. Must be either [u|n|s]
   • vehicle_id - Unique Identifier for the vehicle. Must be unique in the file.
   • vin
   • year - four digit integer value for year
   • make
   • model
   • mileage - integer type only
   • price - integer type only
   • last_modified - a date type in the format YYYY-MM-DD indicating the last day that this listing was modified. We will use this to update price, mileage, and comments.
   Optional Fields
   • trim
   • doors
   • exterior_color
   • interior_color
   • engine_cylinders
   • engine_displacement
   • transmission - can be either automatic or manual and must be of form [a|m]
   • certified - [y|n]
   • description - Dealer comments on the vehicle.
   • image_url - should contain the leading "http://". Multiple images can be comma delimited in this column.
   • warranty - [y/n]
   • options - A comma delimited list of the vehicle options. Use most common form (e.g. Air Bag would be "Air Bag", Air Conditioning would be "Air Conditioning".)
   • body_style - A consumer friendly bodystyle. Must be one of type "SUV", "Sedan", "Truck", "Coupe", "Minivan", "Wagon", "Convertable", "Hatchback", or "Van".
   • fuel_type - The type of fuel system the vehicle has. Type could be one of (but not exclusive to) "Hybrid", "Gas", "Diesel", or "Electric".
