2006 Toyota Tacoma TRD

4.0L V6 paired with an automatic transmission. The engine runs strong with no issues, the transmission shifts smooth through each gear, the 4x4 locks in and out with no problem and the A/C and heat work perfect. I would not hesitate to make a cross country run in this Tacoma, these things are very reliable. This is a nice and clean truck that is very affordable, and would make a very good candidate as a first vehicle for a son or even a daughter.

Tacomas' are just great

Just a great overall small truck. Much better than all the other options, american made or foreign. I'm a ford guy so I wish Ford could make a small truck this well. If I buy a large truck it will be a Ford, but for small trucks, you can't beat the Toyota

I would highly recommend this truck.

This is a great truck .I am really surprised at the room for a small truck.I also think the gas mileage is good, especially when you compare it to similar models.My work needs have changed but I would recommend this truck to anyone. This truck has high mileage but runs like new.

A good buy.

Liked that it sits high off the ground. Low-slung cars are hard to get into and out of. and this pickup is a lot easier for an older person to enter and exit. I also like that it's plain, work-a-day appearance makes it a little bit less theft-prone than, say, a Honda Accord.

Description: Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2018 Toyota Camry and Highlander vehicles, 2017 Toyota Sienna and Tacoma vehicles and 2017 Lexus RX350 vehicles. During the manufacturing process, the oil galley in the rotor for the brake booster vacuum pump assembly may have been improperly machined possibly resulting in a sudden loss of brake assist.
Defect: A sudden loss of braking assist can increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action: Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will replace the brake booster vacuum pump, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin May 31, 2018. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-888-270-9371, or Lexus customer service at 1-800-255-3987. Toyota's numbers for this recall are J0K/JLD.

These vehicles may have incorrect load carrying capacity modification labels. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."
Defect: An incorrect load information label can result in the operator overloading the vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action: Toyota will notify owners and provide them with corrected labels, free of charge. The recall began on January 23, 2018. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are H0Z for Toyota vehicles, and HLF for Lexus vehicles.
