Terrific car,great gas mileage

Sound system is not the top of the line. At 120 mph there is little la k of true road feel. I replaced the water spray mother, the factory engineers, had no mercy for the guy who would some day repair that part.

Fast, and Fun

This is a really reliable, and fun car. I have experienced few mechanical issues, and if you do come across any issue it could easily become a DIY project. Stay away from the dealer ship for repairs, use trusted INDY shops you will save a bunch of money.

The car is a good reliable form of transportation.

The performance of the car is undeniable. However the interior both the seats and the trim including headliner are lacking in quality. Both sun visors have fallen off and the holes that anchored them have elongated to the point that they will no longer hold the securing screws. It is my belief that if BMW were to address these issues they would have a car that could well go 1,000,000 miles.

awesome

Tires are run flats which cannot be repaired if a nail gets caught it in. But the driving experience more than shadows that issue.

My First BMW 325i

I feel great driving it and she looks sweet. Great MPG. Unfortunately, I purchased car used; so there are minor things that I would love to have seen/felt and drove when the car was brand NEW. Otherwise, the negative would be the cost of oil changes $100 and any parts, repairs and import labor cost.

Recall Notices

2011 BMW 3 Series (8/10/2012)

Campaign Number: 12E029000
Component Name: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:COOLING SYSTEM:FAN
Manufacturer: BMW of North America, LLC
Description: This recall involves aftermarket parts sold by Valeo. Valeo is recalling certain engine cooling fans, part numbers 696121, 696273, and 696275, used as service replacement parts for model year 2008-2011 BMW 1-Series, 2006-2011 BMW 3-Series, 2000-2009 BMW 5-Series, 2004-2005 BMW 6-Series, and 2006-2007 BMW 7-Series vehicles. A metal-oxide semiconductor may overheat due to insufficient screwing of the semiconductor on the aluminum heat sink. This primary failure could cause adjacent components on the fan assembly motor circuit board to overheat and short.
Defect: This condition could cause the fan motor to become inoperative, or cause the motor circuit board in the assembly to overheat, potentially leading to a fire in the engine compartment.
Corrective Action: Valeo will notify owners and replace the fans free of charge. The safety recall began on August 22, 2012. This recall is being conducted by Valeo, not by BMW. For further information, owners may contact Valeo at 1-888-718-2536.
