The Ford Edge has numerous luxuries including heated leather seats, panoramic sunroof, all power everything, loud thumping speakers, rear seating reclines, rear air conditioning, side airbags, and driver controls. You name it, it has it... all the convenience & entertainment you could ever want. Great for the modern mom; move over practical & boooring mini-van. Not to mention, the Edge boasts a sleek, rounded yet somewhat beefy body style. Big for a crossover, yet compact for an SUV. It's chic and sexy.    But that's as far as it goes. While your little ones may be safe with those "side airbags," they'll do nothing for them when your walking home. And even if those airbags could somehow manage to float you home as if a sort of magic carpet, they'd probably malfunction long beforehand (like everything else in the Edge). This vehicle has had more recalls, bulletins, & ranting owners on forums occur in its mere lifespan (released in 2007) than practically any other vehicle of its likeness. The transmission tends to slip, the AWD stops pulling, the potentiometers croak (memory settings), brakes drag, the cooling system corrodes, and a host of other issues in which I would develop carpal tunnel (another reoccuring problem amongst owners of the Edge) from attempting to list off if I were to try. Not to mention the Edge is costly by comparison to fix. Try around $2200 for the AWD repair, $3500 for replacing a transmission, even the tires seem to run higher. The Edge is analogous to the cliched "attractive, crazy girl." Yeah, she's hot but not the kind you want to take home with you.

I have no cons. The Ford Edge is stylin. Have you driven one? Plenty of room for Golf clubs, vacation/camping. Since I could not afford to buy a Porsche Cayanne I had to settle for the next best thing ... Ford Edge. ;) KONA BLUUUUUUUUUUUE!
