I drove this car off the lot in December of 2005 and I have loved every minute of driving time with it! It is a Smooth Ride! She is 10 years old and there have not been any electrical or engine issues! I have 4 kids involved with LOTS of extra curricular activities so we run around town often. We visit family out of state and go on vacations. The car is very spacious and the back is super big. I have never had any problems. She is 10 years old and still amazing. We have only had the maintenance done besides having the motor mounts replaced (I drive it like I did my first car- a fiat spider:/) Two kids are in their teens now and still fit comfortably in the middle or the back. The leather has held up well except the drives right arm (My arm is constantly resting on it...), oh and a cd got stuck in the changer a year ago- that's about the worst I have to say about her. I LOVE THIS VEHICLE!
Honda Odyssey Ratings, Reviews and Analysis
Ratings & Reviews
While there are many positives about the 2005 Honda Odyssey and it has a loyal fan base, fuel inefficiency, horrible door mechanics and poor maneuverability make this van less than optimal. Our next car will likely be a Subaru Outback.
I have LOVED this minvan. I am only trading it in because it has 190K miles on it and cars don't last forever. We took it to every suggested check up and service and it's run beautifully for almost 12 years now. I am looking at buying another Honda Odyssey
the known problem with their transmissions and the lack of warnings about it from dealerships and their sales teams!! ( After Recalls) I read after purchase and during my trans. problem that, Honda's of that year were recalled to fix such problems.
I don't dislike anything about this vehicle. Now that I don't transport kids as much in the vehicle, would be nice to have a slightly more fuel efficient car. That said, it is way more efficient than an SUV.
