Average Looker

The car had a great engine for a 4 cylinder engine. It was an easy daily driver which drove well in the snow with good tires. The paint chipped easily, and the body dented if someone touched it. I would recommend this vehicle for anyone who did not mind the looks over time.

Alright for a dd

Like a manual gives more spunk. It's ok on gas. These types of cars always say a 100,000 mile warranty I don't know how they stay in business I guess because that's only good for original owner and they get traded in quickly.

Out of all the cars and trucks that I have owned I would give this one 7 out of 10 on a scale the ga

I like the style of the car it looks nice, I love that I can flip my back seats down for more hauling space but the opening into the trunk is small and that makes the ins and outs hard so if your a gardener not a great choice. My biggest dislike is the passengers seat it sits very low, it should of been the same as the drives seat which is Great.

like it very much

Ride is a little too noisy at highway speeds but car handles well in emergency situations. The audio is very good and I love the Sirius/XM radio. Have had car for 7 yrs but have only put 37,000 on it. I did replace the original tires (which were OK ) but I wanted Michelin tires and they have been a very good ride.

Recall Notices

2014 Hyundai Elantra (11/30/2017)

Campaign Number: 17V769000
Component Name: SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:PEDALS AND LINKAGES
Manufacturer: Hyundai Motor America
Description: Hyundai Motor Company (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2013-2014 Elantra sedan, coupe and GT vehicles. The brake pedal stopper pad can deteriorate allowing the brake light switch plunger to remain extended when the brake pedal is released. This will allow the brake lights to remain illuminated continuously. It can also allow the shift lever to be moved without depressing the brake pedal, or activate the engine management brake pedal override feature.
Defect: If the brake light switch plunger does not retract as it should when the brake pedal is not being pressed, the brake lights may stay illuminated preventing accurate communication to following vehicles that the vehicle is slowing or stopping. Additionally, if the brake switch plunger is not retracted, then the transmission can be shifted out of PARK without depressing the brake pedal. Either condition increases the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action: Hyundai will notify owners, and dealers will replace the brake pedal stopper pad, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin February 8, 2018. Owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-800-633-5151. Hyundai's number for this recall is 170. This campaign expands recall 16V574.
