Easiest car I've ever driven

I am very impressed by the overall vehicle. No torque roll when applying power. The turbo comes in at about 3k rpm, so it can be handled easily in town, but deliver all you need when called on. Driving position i excellent, and the feedback from the wheel informative.

Best car a reasonable amount of money can buy

I got this car after my Saturn was totaled in a hail storm. Since GM is evil, there were few options for a replacement. But my Subaru is awesome. The only way I'd change brands is if GM takes over this company and ruins ITS cars.

Component Name: FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS
Manufacturer: Subaru of America, Inc.
Description: Subaru of America, Inc. (Subaru) is recalling certain 2017 Impreza vehicles. Winter fuels may vaporize prematurely in the fuel line, resulting in a reduction in fuel pressure, possibly causing the engine to stall.
Defect: An engine stall can increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action: Subaru will notify owners, and dealers will reprogram the engine control unit to turn the radiator cooling fan on at a lower temperature, free of charge. The recall began on April 20, 2017. Owners may contact Subaru customer service at 1-800-782-2738. Subaru's number for this recall is WTP-75.

2017 Subaru Impreza (3/2/2017)

Campaign Number: 17V132000

Description: Subaru of America, Inc. (Subaru) is recalling certain 2017 Impreza vehicles. Due to a software problem, the rearview camera display may not work properly.
Defect: A rearview camera display that does not function as designed can reduce the driver's view of what is behind the car, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action: Subaru will notify owners, and dealers will update the infotainment software, free of charge. The recall began on March 27, 2017. Owners may contact Subaru customer service at 1-800-782-2783. Subaru's number for the recall is WTN-74.

2009 Subaru Impreza (1/11/2017)

Campaign Number: 17V026000
Component Name: AIR BAGS:PASSENGER SIDE FRONTAL
Manufacturer: Subaru of America, Inc.
Description: Subaru of America, Inc. (Subaru) is recalling certain 2005-2006 Baja, 2009 Forester, Legacy and Outback and 2006-2009 Impreza (including WRX and STI models) and Tribeca vehicles originally sold, or ever registered, in the states of Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, District of Columbia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. These vehicles are equipped with certain air bag inflators assembled as part of the passenger frontal air bag modules used as original equipment or replacement equipment. In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the front air bags, these inflators may rupture due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to absolute humidity and temperature cycling.
Defect: An inflator rupture may result in metal fragments striking the vehicle occupants resulting in serious injury or death.
Corrective Action: Subaru will notify owners, and dealers will replace the passenger front air bag inflator, free of charge. Interim notices were mailed March 6, 2017 informing owners of the safety risk and the unavailability of remedy parts. Owners will receive a second notice when parts become available. Owners may contact Subaru customer service at 1-800-782-2783. Subaru's number for this recall is TKB-17.
