+ mpg - style good ride good size quite expensive but nice car -------------------------should be about $7000 to $8000 cheaper Good for both city driving and highway driving plenty of space for luggage on trips fairly comfortable even for longer rides, does feel like you sit quite low.

Gas mileage is better than claimed, but has been decreasing in the last 2 years from 58 mpg to about 52. Maybe it is my driving style which needs improving. Had an issue with the 12 volt battery but was able to replace it myself without any problems.
Prius is the ultimate car for the discerning driver that likes to get to points unknown in a responsible way. If you've never driven one you need to give it a try the next time you rent a car. Compare it to anything you've driven and see what you think.
If you want a car that is bullet proof, here it is. Oil changes and tires for the first 100,000 miles - not even brakes yet. Tons of room and with the hatchback you can haul more than you can imagine. This might be my first car to make 200,000
