The car drive great when everything is working, the engine amazing torque, smooth running, the DSG transmission preforms flawlessly. Seats are very comfortable and well finished. It's too bad that the EPA just found out that VW cheated on the emission equipment. We will see what the recall brings.

There are some many problems with 2002 V6 models, the computer systems in the car is faulty, the car keep giving all different types of sensor problems, from exhaust to the gas lever to open the tank is poorly installed
I only got the car because my credit needed a boost, and I really needed a car that was safer than my previous vehicle, and this was the only one at the time that seemed like a good idea. Unfortunately, I'm not known for my good ideas. I gave it three stars because it runs well for the hell I've put it through to the point I kinda feel bad for it. That said, I'd say this thing is only for VW enthusiasts, or young drivers who need to learn a financial lesson the hard way. Oh, and one last thing because I know you're curios, it tops out and shakes at 110mph.
Have had to replace parts that should not need replacing on a car with less than 100,000 miles. Makes me believe that substandard parts are being used by VW. Have had to replace, radiator, rear springs, alternator. Car is fun to drive.
Good build quality. Safe. Amazing mileage. Slightly better than average driving experience. Great for useable space. Holds value well.No Diesel stink, but definite diesel rattle, still less then old cars. Harsh out of idle into first. Check tire sensors ALWAYS on.
