Rip-Off

Seller clearly lied about mileage and priced car $2k over dealer retail. Trade In value $244, Private Party Seller value $473, Dealer Retail $853. If seller is so dishonest about mileage and price, what else is the seller lying about. I would by this car but I won't pay a penny more than $500 out the door. Seller can say No, But I can walk away and buy my son a different car. That's the beauty of not needing what you're offering; I don't have to buy it unless it's on my terms.

1975 Volvo 240 (12/14/1977)

Campaign Number: 77V219000
Component Name: VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL:CABLES
Manufacturer: Volvo Car USA LLC
Description: THE INVOLVED VEHICLES ARE IN NON-COMPLIANCE WITH FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 124, "ACCELERATOR CONTROL SYSTEMS". THE THROTTLE CABLE PLASTIC SLEEVE ON THESE VEHICLES, WHICH IS ATTACHED TO THE FIREWALL, COULD BREAK AT THE GROOVE FOR THE RETAINING CIRCLIP ALLOWING THE BUFFER SPRING THERE TO EXPAND AND CAUSE AN INCREASE IN ENGINE SPEED. ALSO, THE THROTTLE CABLE COULD BECOME FRAYED BY CHAFING AGAINST INCORRECTLY EXPOSED REINFORCING MATERIAL FROM THE CABLE SHEATH, AT THE ENGINE END OF THE CABLE. THE CABLE COULD THEN BECOME STUCK AT ANY ENGINE SPEED.
Defect:
Corrective Action: DEALER WILL REPLACE THE ACCELERATOR CABLE AND RETAINING BRACKET AND INSTALL NEW RETURN SPRINGS, IF NECESSARY, AT NO COST TO OWNER.
